A small vessel off Hel's port, with an opening bow and a small stern superstructure
The Desantowiec is a small vessel lying in deep water off Hel's fishing port. Its Polish name means landing craft, and its opening bow and the small superstructure at its stern mark it out on the bottom. Divers with deep training come for a compact wreck close to the harbour.

The dive
The wreck lies at 53 m, level with the fishing port at Hel. It is a small hull: the opening bow stands out at one end, and a small superstructure of light build rises over the stern at the other. Nothing is published on its origin or how it sank.
