Dama Wreck

A way in through the captain's cabin window

The Dama is a Senegalese cargo ship that sank off Kish Island in 2005 and now lies at 33 m in the waters southeast of the island. The hull has become a habitat for marine life, and trained divers can go inside through the captain's cabin.

The dive

The freighter rests at 33 m, and a dive around the outside of the hull needs no special diving skill beyond the depth. Divers with wreck training enter through the window of the captain's cabin, then follow a corridor that leads to the kitchen and the dormitory.
