Beach
A ghost net merged into the reef on the way down
Beach is a reef dive off the south of Lefkada where sea grass and sand give way to big rock formations and pinnacles. The usual dive reaches 25 m and the rock continues to 35 m, so one site serves a relaxed swim around the shallow rocks and a deeper excursion past a ghost net.

The dive
The dive starts over a mix of sea grass and sandy bottom. Heading west, the seabed changes to big rocky formations and pinnacles, and divers either stay in the shallow water around the rocks or continue down to 35 m, passing a ghost net that has merged with the reef. Octopuses hide among the rocks, lionfish are about, and large groupers patrol the formations, with pelagic fish seen passing on some dives.
