North Jetty is one of the two main dive sites on Pulau Hantu, dived from the jetty itself or along the fringing reef beside it. It is a slow, close-focus dive in short visibility, and divers come for the small life: nudibranchs, pufferfish, silver moonies and tiger tail seahorses.
Also known as Pulau Hantu North Jetty, The Jetty, Hantu Jetty.

The dive
Divers enter either at the jetty and work its structure, or drop onto the island reef next to it. Pulau Hantu is ringed by fringing reefs with a common reef flat in between, and the reef by the jetty is part of that ring. Across Hantu's two main sites, North Jetty and West Reef, the dive runs between 4 and 20 m. Visibility stays around 3 to 5 m through the year, so the dive is spent searching the reef close up for nudibranchs, pufferfish, silver moonies and tiger tail seahorses. On a good day the jetty has no current at all.

Season follows Pulau Hantu & Singapore's Southern Islands: Boats go to Hantu every weekend all year and no month stands out; Pulau Jong's strong currents call for a weather check in the monsoon season.
Know before you go
- Visibility is short, usually 3 to 5 m, so buddies need to stay close on the reef.
