The dive
Pedregoso is a wide islet made of large stones, surrounded by a sand bottom, close to the Isla de Arousa. The Faro Pedraseca light, in the heart of the ría, stands nearby on its own granite. The dive runs from 5 to 16 m among the boulders and over the surrounding sand, a shallow profile that the islet's rating for Open Water divers reflects, and it is one of the boat dives run by Centro de Buceo Medusa.
The life is the typical mix of the Ría de Arousa. Velvet swimming crabs, spider crabs and lobsters live among the boulders, along with conger eels, white seabream, pouting and cuttlefish around the stones and the sand.
