The Lava Caves sit on the southern coast of Santorini, about 20 minutes from Caldera Beach, a set of underwater caverns and chasms home to various Mediterranean marine species. With a maximum depth of only 10 m, the site is immensely popular with locals and visitors alike.

The dive
The dive works through the underwater caverns and chasms of the south coast, populated by various Mediterranean marine species, and never goes deeper than 10 m, a cavern-style dive at Open Water depth.

Season follows Santorini & the Caldera: Diving runs all year. April to November is the main season, with the calmest seas in summer; winter water averages about 16°C.
