Potat de Caroline is a shallow site inside the Wallis lagoon, a field of coral bommies between 5 and 15 m. Visibility is excellent when the sun is out, and the site suits snorkellers at ease in deeper water as well as scuba divers.

The dive
The route crosses the lagoon floor among coral bommies and structures at 5 to 15 m (16 to 50 ft), and the heads grow larger and more impressive the further divers go. Sunlight reaching through the shallow water gives the clearest views, and sea turtles sometimes turn up among the coral.

Season follows Wallis Island (Uvea): Diving runs all year; the sea is warmest in March and April at about 30 °C and coolest in August near 28 °C.
