The second line is a credit. It is appreciated, it is how other divers find the map, and it is yours to edit or drop. The View on Reefwander link inside the widget stays either way.

Good to know

  • What it shows. The destination's own sites first, ordered as its guide ranks them, then sites from neighbouring destinations within 50 km until the list is full. A hollow ring marks a site whose exact position is not published.
  • Weight. One small HTML page and no web font. The map library and its tiles load only when a reader presses the button. The map draws OpenFreeMap tiles, NOAA bathymetry and Allen Coral Atlas reefs, credited inside the panel.
  • Privacy. The widget sets no cookie and builds no profile. It counts one view per page it is shown on, whether the map was loaded, and clicks on its links, through Reefwander's own analytics. Nothing is shared with advertisers.
  • Updates. The sites, depths and positions are the live ones from Reefwander, so a correction here appears on your page too.
