Upright 1870 schooner with open cargo hatches and schools of rock bass
The Bermuda, also called the Murray Bay wreck, is a 40 m (130 ft) wooden schooner that sank in the bay off Grand Island in October 1870. She sits upright in only 9 m (30 ft) of water, with her top deck at 4 m (12 ft).

The dive
The schooner stands upright on the bottom of the bay, so the descent ends on her top deck at just 4 m (12 ft). Three large hatches open into the cargo hold, and two companionways lead below, while the hull reaches down to the bottom at 9 m (30 ft). Near the stern sits a large cabin trunk, left where the cabin blew off as she sank. Schools of rock bass and other game fish are common around the wreck.
