La Piedra de la Esperanza is a submerged mountain at the south-western entrance of the Ensenada de Utría, close to the island of Playa Blanca, and a traditional fishing site. The dive runs between 24 m and 36 m, with the boat anchored on the south-west flank.

The dive
The route over this submerged mountain starts by anchoring the boat on the south-west flank, at a depth that can range from 36 m (120 ft) up to 24 m (80 ft). The site is a traditional fishing ground at the south-west entrance of the Ensenada de Utría.

Season follows Bahía Solano: Jul–Oct is humpback season and the main reason to come; this is one of the wettest coasts on earth, so visibility is never reliable.
