Wundi Cave
A tunnel through an undersea cave in the Padaido Islands.
Wundi Cave is an undersea cave at Wundi Island in the Padaido Islands, set among wall formations and coral gardens. It is an easy dive in low to medium current, and divers go for the swim through the cave's tunnel and for larger visitors such as Napoleon wrasse, turtles and eagle rays.

The dive
The route passes through the cave's tunnel at 25 to 30 m, with the wall and the coral gardens around it. Schools of fusiliers, surgeonfish, rabbitfish and parrotfish work the reef, and Napoleon wrasse, turtles, eagle rays, cuttlefish and fast-moving Spanish mackerel pass by.

Season follows Biak & Padaido Islands: The dry season, May to September, brings calm seas for the crossings to the Padaido Islands; the wetter months are less certain.
