A migrant memorial sculpture at 30 m on a wall off Eşek Island
88, also called 88 Taşları or the 88 Rocks, is a dive site at the southwest tip of Eşek Island, off Çeşme, closed to the poyraz, the northerly wind. It suits both shallow and deep dives. A memorial sculpture, the Lost Migrant Monument, was lowered here to a depth of 30 m.
Also known as 88 Taşları.

The dive
The site lies at the southwest tip of Eşek Island, in a spot closed to the poyraz, so it stays sheltered from the northerly wind. The ground suits both shallow and deep dives, and divers can choose how far down to go.
The Lost Migrant Monument, an artwork by Onur Canka made during the pandemic in memory of the migrants who died in the Aegean Sea, rests at 30 m. The wider site, with its wall structures and depth gradient, reaches 88 m.

Know before you go
- The wall continues far below recreational limits, to 88 m, so depth needs watching on every dive.
