A cave that gets its name from a bedroom, within 16 m
Yatak Odası, the Bedroom, is a small island off Çeşme that takes its name from a cave resembling a bedroom. The cave and the seabed around it make a colourful dive that stays within reach of divers just starting out, and it can be dived in almost any bad weather.

The dive
The cave is entered at a depth of around 8 m, and a natural opening in its ceiling lets sunlight filter in. Two cave entrances lie on the west of the island, and sponges cover the walls inside, a spread of colour that suits macro and wide-angle photography alike. Barracuda schools turn up during the dive, and morays, sea bream, leerfish and groupers are met along the way. The deepest point of the dive is 16 m.

Season follows Çeşme & Ildır: Diving stops in January and February; September is among the best months, and the stingrays mate in October and November.
