Lana's Cove

Lana's Cove is named after a local woman who ran a tour boat on Culebra many years ago; local legend says her boat was scuttled in the cove after her death. A small portion of the boat remains in about 6 m (20 ft) of water, and gently sloping terrain drops from there to around 18 m (60 ft).

The dive
The cove is named after Lana, a local woman who ran a tour boat on Culebra many years ago. As the story goes, when she died her friends and family scattered her ashes in this cove and scuttled her boat there.
A small portion of Lana's boat remains in about 6 m (20 ft) of water. From the remains, gently sloping terrain drops down to around 18 m (60 ft), the deepest part of the site.

Season follows Culebra: Dec–Mar is the high season, when dive trips should be booked from July; May–Oct is slower, needing about 2 weeks' notice. The sea averages 27–29 °C all year.
