Pindawon Wall

Black corals and gorgonians under the overhangs of a sanctuary wall

Pindawon Wall, off the east coast of Samal Island, is a wall dive inside a marine sanctuary. Overhangs hung with black coral and a good chance of turtles bring divers here, while strong currents and a maximum of 40 m keep it a dive for advanced divers.

The dive

The dive follows the wall, whose overhangs shelter gorgonians and black corals, down to a maximum of 40 m. Snapper, grouper and sea snakes work the face, and turtles are likely here and in the Aundanao sanctuary just to the north. Strong currents run along the wall, and a guide is recommended.
