The dive
Meros is a little submerged pinnacle packed full of life. Its base sits at 18 m (60 ft) and its top comes up almost to the surface, shallow enough to snorkel and deep enough for a diver to enjoy. It is rated easy.
Giant groupers, the fish the site is named for, live on the pinnacle alongside prolific schools of grunts, and nudibranchs give the dive its small life. The nutrient-rich water that feeds this life keeps visibility in the gulf between 5 and 23 m (15 to 75 ft) on average, so the clarity on the pinnacle varies from day to day.
