Sunil's Rock
Caves set into the sea bed beside the Hikkaduwa coral reef
Sunil's Rock lies close to the Hikkaduwa coral reef, a rock dive between 10 and 22 m where caves are cut into the sea bed for divers to look into. Lionfish and groupers live around the rock, and soft corals grow over its surfaces.

The dive
The dive works the rock from 10 m down to 22 m, with caves set into the sea bed around it. Lionfish, coral fish and groupers keep close to the rock, and soft corals grow over it.

Season follows Hikkaduwa: The west-coast season runs from October to April; from May to September the main centres dive from Trincomalee instead.
