Ko Haa 3 (The Lagoon)
A current-free lagoon between three of the Koh Haa islands
The Lagoon is a shallow, protected stretch of water lying between three of the Koh Haa islands, with no current at all and a maximum depth of 5 m. Juvenile fish use it as a nursery, it suits beginner divers and snorkellers, and dive centres on Koh Lanta often use it for try dives and courses.
Also known as The Lagoon, Koh Haa Lagoon, Ko Haa Lagoon, Ko Haa 3.

The dive
The whole dive stays above 5 m with no current to fight, so it runs as a slow tour among the corals. Porcupine pufferfish, ghost pipefish, octopus and hawksbill turtles move among them, along with bluespotted stingrays and groupers, while frogfish, pipefish and nudibranchs reward a close look. Manta rays, marble rays, eagle rays and whale sharks pass through occasionally.
