Umagai
A sheer reef wall that falls from 7 m to past 40 m.
Umagai is a dramatic reef wall on the north side of Ugan-bishi, 10 to 15 minutes by boat from port on Kume Island. The wall is one of the island's deep dives, with a top in shallow water and a face that falls away into the deep, in a spot where the current is sometimes strong.
Also known as Oomagai.

The dive
The top of the wall lies at 7 m, and from that lip the sheer face drops past 40 m. Visibility is splendid, and schools of double-lined fusiliers swim through the blue off the wall. On the face live Randall's shrimp gobies, schools of square-spot and Randall's fairy basslets, many red-spotted blennies and leaf scorpionfish.
