A Heinkel 111 bomber in the shallows off Blefouti beach
The Heinkel 111 is the wreck of a bomber on the seabed off Blefouti beach, one of the three warplanes among the Leros war wrecks. The remains lie at 16 m, which makes it the shallowest of the island's aircraft wrecks and a first wreck within Open Water limits.

The dive
The remains of the bomber lie on the seabed off Blefouti beach at 16 m. Of the warplanes on the Leros list, the Arado Ar 196 at Mavro Kavos lies at 20 m and the Junkers 52 at 51 m, so this is the one aircraft wreck that stays inside the limits of an Open Water card.
