Rocher du Diamant is a small uninhabited island about 2 km off Pointe du Diamant in south-west Martinique. Its underwater geology gives several different dives around 20 m, mixing walls, a reef flat, an arch and a fissure. Turtles, stingrays and barracuda are seen around the rock, one of the must-do dives of Martinique.
Also known as Diamond Rock, Le Rocher.

The dive
Most dives on the rock stay around 20 m and alternate between walls, a reef flat, an arch and an underwater fissure, depending on which side of the islet the boat drops divers. Stingrays and turtles are seen here, and barracuda pass along the rock.
Below the usual dive the faces of the rock keep falling, to 40 m and as far as 60 m on some sides. The wall at 40 m is a dive for experienced divers rather than the usual route.
