Shark Point
White tip reef sharks gathering on a marine-park reef slope
Shark Point is a reef slope inside Mombasa Marine National Park and one of the best dive sites in the park. The reef runs down from 12 m to about 24 m, and divers come for the white tip reef sharks that gather here, along with turtles, Napoleon wrasse, moray eels and giant groupers.

The dive
The dive follows a sloping reef that begins at 12 m and descends to about 24 m, with the white tip reef sharks the main thing to look for along the way. Turtles, Napoleon wrasse, giant and leopard moray eels, scorpionfish and giant groupers are also common on the slope.
