Moray Beach
Named for the giant morays that hole up in it

Moray Beach is a shallow site in the islands off Nha Trang, with hard and soft corals over ground that bottoms out at about 20 metres. The single published listing for it runs to a line, so beyond the corals and the eels there is little on record. The flat, shallow ground is what shapes the dive rather than depth.

The dive
The site bottoms out at about 20 metres, so the dive is flat rather than a descent and a tour. Hard and soft corals grow across the ground, and the searching is done at close range: you work along the coral and the gaps in it, looking into holes rather than covering distance, and the shallow maximum leaves a long, comfortable bottom time.
Giant morays are what the site is named for, and they are the animal its one published listing singles out: wedged into crevices with their heads out. Nothing else is on record here — no current rating, no visibility figure, no species list beyond the eels and the corals — so treat anything more specific you are told on the boat as local knowledge rather than published fact.

Questions divers ask
How deep is Moray Beach?+
About 20 metres at its deepest, and much of the dive is shallower than that. That is a little past the 18 metre limit taught at entry level, so an Open Water diver should work the shallower ground or dive it with a guide.
