Thulhagiri Housereef is the main house reef of Thulhagiri Island Resort, spanning the northwest and north of the island. Entries are marked with red buoys, the western buoy has a line down to a 6 m training plateau, and from there the dive is mostly wall with multiple overhangs to about 20 m.

The dive
The reef spans the northwest and north side of the island, with entry points marked by red buoys. The western buoy carries a line down to a plateau at 6 m that the local page calls perfect for training dives — the natural place to start. From there the character changes: the dive is mostly wall, with multiple overhangs, working down to about 20 m.
Conditions match the training-ground role. wannadive logs the current low, under 1 knot, and visibility good at 10 to 30 m, so the wall stays comfortable for newer divers while the overhangs give more experienced ones something to work along. With everything inside about 20 m, gas and no-deco time are rarely the limit.

Season follows North Malé Atoll: The dry northeast monsoon (Dec-May) is the calm season; currents from November bring pelagics to the channels. Late May to July is the weak window - most liveaboards relocate elsewhere.

Yes. The 6 m plateau reached by a line from the western buoy is used for training dives, current is logged low, and the wall beyond stops at about 20 m.
