Cheongjin Artificial Reefs
Square and iron artificial reefs placed to develop sea ranches
The Cheongjin Artificial Reefs are a group of man-made reef structures on the Pohang coast, placed to protect the marine ecosystem and to develop sea ranches. Reachable from shore or by boat, they serve as a training ground, with a square reef suited to navigation practice and an iron reef used for deep-dive work.

The dive
The square reef and the underwater igloo (Igulu) point are where Open Water and Advanced Open Water divers run navigation exercises among the structures. The iron reef is used for deep dive scenarios, and the water at Cheongjin reaches about 45 m (147 ft) at its deepest.
