Pinnacles
Three rocks topping out just under the surface, ringed by batfish and jacks
Pinnacles is a group of three large rocks off the southern coast of Pulau Aur, rising from 30 m to just below the surface. Divers go for the fish life around them: barracuda, morays, schooling batfish, jacks and trevally, with reef sharks, nurse sharks and the odd manta also seen.

The dive
The dive circles three large rocks whose tops lie just below the surface and whose bases sit at 30 m. Barracudas and morays hang around the rocks, schools of batfish, jacks and trevally are common, and mantas pass by on some days. Reef sharks and nurse sharks have also been seen here. Currents across the pinnacles can be strong.

Season follows Pulau Aur & Pulau Dayang: Boats run from about March to October and the northeast monsoon from November to March ends the season; October brings the best odds of mantas and whale sharks.
