Karavopetra is a rock off Samos with a maximum depth of 25 m, suited to experienced divers. It is visited as a rock dive only when there is no current, and the site is also used for drift diving. A fishing net lies on the bottom on one side.

The dive
The rock is dived as a site only when there is no current, to a maximum depth of 25 m. One side carries a fishing net lying on the bottom, and the ecological damage around it is plain to see. The site can also be used for drift diving.

Season follows Samos: Diving runs from May to October; July to October brings the warmest water, while summer north winds raise waves on exposed coasts.
Know before you go
- A fishing net lies on the bottom on one side of the rock, an entanglement risk close to the seabed.
