Koh Bon Pinnacle
Unmarked deep pinnacle where mantas and leopard sharks turn up

Koh Bon Pinnacle is a submerged rock off Koh Bon with no mooring line, its top at about 18 m and its north face falling away past 45 m. It is a place to look for manta rays and leopard sharks, and its currents can be strong, which keeps it a dive for experienced groups.

The dive
Boats find the pinnacle with a depth finder rather than a buoy, and divers go down onto its shallowest part at about 18 m. The north side drops off steeply into deep water. On the south side a long swim at 28-30 m leads across to the main island reef.
