Dispa Rock is an underwater pinnacle out in the blue to the north-east of Weligama Bay, and at 32 m it is the deepest dive in the area. Its top is covered in tiny blue triggerfish with barracudas hunting among them, and the open-water setting brings the possibility of blue whales, whale sharks or manta rays.

The dive
This is a deep dive to 32 m on a massive pinnacle in open water, with smaller rocks spread around it on a sandy bottom. The top of the pinnacle is fully covered by tiny blue triggerfish, and barracudas are there to hunt them. Blue whales, whale sharks and manta rays are a possibility, so it pays to watch the blue as well as the rock.
