Copo Island
Swim-throughs where the current pushes divers like a washing machine
An island off the Akamas Peninsula with two separate dives around it and a good chance of turtles. Its swim-throughs are the draw for experienced divers: the current funnels through them hard enough to push divers along like a washing machine.
Also known as Copo.

The dive
Two dives can be made around the island, both to a maximum of 18 m. The challenging part is a set of swim-throughs where the current takes over and pushes divers through like a washing machine, and there is a good chance of turtles on the way round.
