Lara Bay

Blow holes and swim-throughs in a protected turtle bay

A bay on the Akamas coast whose seabed is cut into caves, swim-throughs, blow holes, canyons and gullies, with a wall as well. The bay is a protected turtle habitat, so turtles are part of the reason divers come, alongside its rock features.

Also known as Lara.

The dive

The bay is split into three separate dives, so the route depends on where the boat drops. Between them they thread a run of caves, swim-throughs, blow holes, canyons and gullies, and one of them follows a wall. None of the three goes deeper than 20 m, and turtles can turn up anywhere along the way.
