Calabunita is an Al Hoceima site with the widest depth span of the named sites in the area, on Morocco's Mediterranean coast, running from 2 m in the shallows to 41 m at its deepest. Beginner divers can stay in the upper band, while trained divers can follow the bottom down past 30 m on the same site.

The dive
The site starts at just 2 m, so the first part of the dive is shallow and easy to settle into. From there the bottom keeps going down to 41 m, which makes Calabunita a site where the plan depends on the group: newer divers hold to the upper 20 m, while divers with deep training can drop towards the 41 m floor first and then work back up.
