The Alice B is a cargo ship roughly 50 m long sitting upright on sand in the bay north of Beirut, off Jounieh. Her deck lies at around 27 m and the seabed at 37 m, so the ship can be seen clearly from the sand, and wreck-trained divers can go inside. It is a deep boat dive for divers with Deep and Nitrox training.
Also known as Alice B (Wreck).

The dive
The descent from the boat reaches the deck of the Alice B at around 27 m. The ship sits upright on the sand, so her lines are easy to read: roughly 50 m of cargo hull from bow to stern. Jounieh Bay is sheltered, so this is often a dive that goes ahead when more exposed sites on the coast are blown out.
From the deck the profile drops along the hull to the sand at about 37 m, the deepest point of the dive. Divers who hold a wreck diving qualification can enter the ship; everyone else stays outside and works along the hull and deck. With the deck at 27 m and the seabed at 37 m, the whole dive is deep, and Deep and Nitrox Diver level is required.

Know before you go
- Penetration is only for divers who have completed a wreck training course; others stay on the outside of the hull.
- The seabed lies at 37 m, so depth and gas need planning; Deep and Nitrox training is required.
