Shark Point
Sand tiger sharks resting inside the caves of the wall
Shark Point is a wall dive off Boa Vista whose face is cut with many caves. Sand tiger sharks and nurse sharks use those caves to rest and shelter, so divers come here to see both species resting inside the rock.

The dive
The dive follows the wall to a maximum of 22 m, past the caves in its face. The rock is riddled with small holes, cracks and caves, and that broken surface makes this a very rich site, with a wide variety of species living in it.

Season follows Boa Vista: Boats run all year; loggerheads mate around the reef rocks Jun–Sep, and rougher winter seas can affect the diving.
