Le Colonne di Carloforte
Canyons between natural rock columns, rich in nudibranchs
Area photo: Mboesch · CC BY-SA 4.0
Le Colonne di Carloforte is a circuit around a cluster of natural rock columns that form small canyons, a dive that changes with every turn. The rocks slope from 5 m to 18 m in gullies and steps, and the site counts among the richest spots for nudibranchs.
Also known as Colonne.

The dive
The dive circles the columns, threading the canyons between them. Underwater the rock mirrors the shapes above the surface, outcrops sloping down in gullies and steps that keep the route lively. Nudibranchs are the draw, and few spots are richer in them.
