Faraglioni
Swim through one of Capri's famous stacks underwater

The Faraglioni are the huge rock stacks that rise from the sea off Capri, and the dive owes much of its pull to their fame. Divers start at the landward stack, and one of the stacks can be crossed both at the surface and underwater, though the marine life here is modest.
Also known as Faraglioni di Capri.
Where it is and how deep

The dive
The dive starts at the landward stack, the Faraglione di Terra, and follows a steep wall straight down to a sandy bottom at 32 m. Paramuricea gorgonians are rare on this wall, and the fish seen are mostly species passing through.

Season follows Capri: June to September is the peak, with warm water and every site in reach; July and August are also the busiest months on the island.
Know before you go
- Heavy boat traffic around the stacks in summer; diving here is better avoided in that season.
