The Traliccio is the old antenna of the Punta Carena lighthouse, sunk long ago and now lying on the sand at the foot of the point's wall. It is a technical dive: the descent passes a wall heavy with coralligenous growth and gorgonians, and the pylon itself is overgrown and wrapped in thousands of anthias.
Also known as Punta Carena Pylon, Traliccio.

The dive
The descent follows the Punta Carena wall, rich in coralligenous growth and gorgonians, as it falls straight away to demanding depths. At its base, already beyond 50 m, a large pylon rests on the sand and reaches out towards open water to 62 m. The structure is covered in vegetation, sponges, tunicates and red and two-tone gorgonians, and is always surrounded by thousands of anthias. In summer, sunfish can be met here.

Season follows Capri: June to September is the peak, with warm water and every site in reach; July and August are also the busiest months on the island.
Know before you go
- The wall drops immediately to depths beyond 50 m, which keeps the dive to technical divers.
- Boats line the surface above the point, so ascents follow the rock face.
