Furada
Large gorges that look like the Sintra hills on a clear day
Furada lies about 500 m off the Cascais coast, a reef cut by large gorges, with a maximum depth of 18 m. On clear days the gorges read like a mountain landscape. Schools of bream and wrasse live here, with octopus, cuttlefish and many nudibranchs.

The dive
The reef is cut by large gorges, and the dive follows these cuts down to a maximum of 18 m. When visibility is good the walls of the gorges rise like a walk through the Sintra mountains. Schools of breams and wrasses swim in the gorges, with octopuses, cuttlefish and many nudibranchs on the rock.
