Cut Through City
A dark passage that opens onto the wall beside an old anchor
A deep swim-through for advanced divers off southern Eleuthera. A dark passageway lit by shafts of light through the fissures leads out onto the reef wall, where divers can drop to a sponge-encrusted anchor embedded in the wall at 40 m (130 ft) or work back up the ledges looking for spiny lobsters.

The dive
Cut Through City is a swim-through, but a much deeper one than its neighbours, leading into a dark passageway. On a good day, rays of light break through the fissures overhead and light the route to an exit that opens onto blue water on the face of the reef wall at 27 m (90 ft).
After the exit, divers turn around to face the wall. From there the plan splits: drop to 40 m (130 ft) to inspect a sponge-encrusted anchor embedded in the wall, or follow the wall upwards and back into shallower water, checking the ledges for spiny lobsters on the way up.
