Baba Reef
A gentle slope turning into a wall below the Baba lighthouse
Baba Reef lies at the Baba lighthouse in the Pakleni Islands, about 20 minutes by boat from Hvar. It combines a gradual slope and a wall in one dive, with moray eels and lobsters living on the rock and a chance of a seahorse when the dive comes back into the shallows.
Also known as Baba.

The dive
The bottom descends slowly from 5 m to 20 m, where the wall begins. The wall drops to 30 m and in places to 40 m, with scorpionfish, moray eels, forkbeard and lobsters along it among yellow gorgonians and sponges. The dive then returns to the shallows to search for octopus and, on a lucky day, a yellow seahorse.
