A lagoon reef in the south of the atoll and the gentlest of Laamu's documented sites: wannadive lists an average depth of 13.4 m, a maximum of 22 m, current under one knot and visibility of 10 to 30 m. It is the counterpart to the rim's channel dives — a faru inside the atoll where conditions stay easy.

The dive
The numbers describe an easy reef dive: an average depth of 13.4 m with a 22 m maximum, current listed as low — under one knot — and visibility of 10 to 30 m. That makes the faru the obvious foil to Laamu's kandus, somewhere to dive when the channels are running hard or as a relaxed second dive of the day.
Little else is published: wannadive is the only per-site source, and it gives figures rather than a route or an animal list, rating the experience needed at CMAS two-star or Advanced Open Water. Take the profile as the plan — a lagoon reef worked at mid-depth, with enough water below to reach the 22 m mark if you want it.
