The outer reef at Hen Rock is the deep-dive side of this shore site on Lanyu, with the deepest point near 21 m. It lies about 200 m from the snorkelling entry, with many reef caves under the reef ledge, and large shoals of 金花鱸 turn up on lucky days.

The dive
The dive starts at the snorkelling entry, then swims about 200 m out to the left to reach the outer reef. The reef is the area's deep-dive ground, with its deepest point near 21 m.
Many reef caves open along the outer reef, and divers stay out of them unless familiar with the conditions. With luck, large shoals of 金花鱸 move across the reef.
