The Sequipe is one of three large wrecks off Maceió, the other two being the Draguinha and the Dragão. Operators take advanced divers only. The barge lies at 30 to 32 m, and the visibility around it ranges from 10 to 30 m depending on the day.
Unlike the other two, which lie broken up and capsized, the Sequipe is intact. It is a small hull, 20 m long, 7.5 m wide and 1.4 m deep, built as a barge with a winch for carrying materials. Fishermen in the region know it as the Draga Nova, the new dredge, while the Draguinha is the old one.
