Pebble Beach
Sudden drop-offs below a boulder-strewn island shore

Pebble Beach lies off a stretch of Netrani Island's shore that is piled with large rocky boulders rather than the small pebbles its name suggests. The bottom drops suddenly in several places, and the tide brings strong currents, so it suits divers who are comfortable in moving water.

The dive
The site runs along the boulder shoreline and starts in shallow water, but at several points the bottom falls away abruptly to around 30 m. Large mushroom corals litter the seafloor at 12 m, and a little deeper, at 26 m, rotting wooden fishing trawlers lie partly buried. Giant groupers roam the site hunting for octopus, and when the tide swings the current picks up strongly across the site.
