Bodu Hithi Manta Point is one of the best-known manta cleaning stations in North Malé Atoll — by its own catalogue's account, in the Maldives as a whole. Between December and April, during the northeast monsoon, mantas come to be cleaned or to feed on plankton over a reef running from about 14 m down to 25 m.

The dive
The dive centres on the cleaning station. Between December and April — the northeast monsoon, when the site is most active — manta rays come in to be cleaned or to feed on plankton. Average depth is 14 m with a maximum of 25 m, and wannadive logs the current low, under 1 knot, so holding a position near the station is not a fight.
Reaching the site takes approximately a 60-minute boat ride. Visibility typically runs 10 to 30 m, and at these depths in a low current the diving is not physically demanding, though wannadive still lists the site at CMAS** / AOW. The variable is timing — plan for the December-to-April window, when the mantas are on station.

Season follows North Malé Atoll: The dry northeast monsoon (Dec-May) is the calm season; currents from November bring pelagics to the channels. Late May to July is the weak window - most liveaboards relocate elsewhere.
