Rasfari Corner
Sharks, jacks and eagle rays on the channel-mouth current

Rasfari Corner is a drift dive at the mouth of a channel in North Malé Atoll. The reef of coral blocks, rocks and small overhangs sits in the path of the current, which brings grey reef sharks, eagle rays, barracuda and jacks past the corner, with dolphins often visiting.
Also known as Rasfari Kandu.

The dive
The drift runs along the reef at the channel mouth between 9 and 30 m, working past rocks, small overhangs and coral blocks and on to deeper reef sections; the site's maximum depth is 40 m. Grey reef sharks, whitetip and blacktip reef sharks, barracuda, eagle rays, jacks, turtles and Napoleon wrasse are regular here, and dolphins often visit.

Season follows North Malé Atoll: December to April is dry with gentle breezes; late May to July is the weakest stretch, when most liveaboards leave the atoll.
