La Roñosa
Groupers, tarpon and snappers around a large rock formation with corals
La Roñosa is a large rocky formation south of Nuquí, 15 m deep, and one of the favourite sites lying opposite the El Amargal reserve near Arusí. Corals grow on the rock, and groupers, tarpon and snappers can be seen around it.

Season follows Nuquí & the Gulf of Tribugá: Boats run all year; March to August is the best stretch, taking in the sardine run around May and the start of whale watching in July.
