Piedra Bonita
Moray eels and octopuses in the crevices of a submerged ridge swept by current
Piedra Bonita is a submerged ridge of rocks no more than 12 m from the coast south of Nuquí, with a sandy bottom between them. It reaches 18 m, and a strong current carries schools of fish through it.

The dive
Piedra Bonita is a submerged mountain range of rocks with a sandy bottom, at a depth of 18 m. Its crevices are home to moray eels and octopuses, scorpionfish sit on the rocks, and different types of turtles are seen here.

Season follows Nuquí & the Gulf of Tribugá: Boats run all year; March to August is the best stretch, taking in the sardine run around May and the start of whale watching in July.
