Piedra de Fidel is a prominent rock south of Nuquí, rising from the seabed at 40 m, and one of the most demanding dives on this part of the Chocó coast. Gorgonians cover the rock and schools of jacks gather around it.

The dive
Piedra de Fidel is a highly prominent rock rising from the seabed, with a depth of 40 m. Its rocks are full of gorgonians, with tubular corals in vibrant yellow among them, and schools of jacks are the fish divers come for.

Season follows Nuquí & the Gulf of Tribugá: Boats run all year; March to August is the best stretch, taking in the sardine run around May and the start of whale watching in July.
