A reef off a small island with two divable sides, and the tide picks which one: west on the flood, east on the ebb. The slope runs from the island down to a flat seabed at 18 m, with rocks at 18 and 21 m holding reef fish and nudibranchs. Whale sharks are occasionally spotted here.

The dive
Which side you dive is decided before you get in: on a flood current the boat puts you on the west side, on an ebb the east. From the island the reef slopes down to a flat seabed at 18 m, so the shape of the dive is a descent along the slope and a long shallow return over the reef, with the water behind you rather than in your face.
The rocks are what to work. Reef fish and nudibranchs are the normal sighting around the 18 m rock and the 21 m rock, and 21 m is as deep as the site goes, so the profile stays inside recreational limits with room to spare. Whale sharks are occasionally spotted here, which is reason enough to look out into the blue every few minutes instead of keeping your eyes on the reef the whole dive.

Season follows Pattaya & the Sattahip Wrecks: Gulf diving is best May-September and runs year-round; the wrecks are clearest November-March, though site charts drop to 1-2 m visibility in February, August, November and December.
